Privacy Policy

virtuoso.fm counts visits so we know which posts and playlists people like. We don't use advertising, tracking cookies or third-party trackers, we don't store your IP address, and we never sell anything about you. Visitors get no cookies at all.

When you open a page we record the page you viewed, the time, the name of the site that linked you here (just the site, not the full link), your device type, browser and operating system, and your approximate city, region and country. The location comes from our host, Vercel, based on your connection. It is never more precise than a city. Known bots aren't counted.

To count unique visitors without knowing who you are, we turn your connection details into a one-way scrambled code that changes every day. The code can't be turned back into your IP address, and it can't link your visits across days. Your IP address itself is never saved.

We don't set cookies for this and nothing is stored in your browser. Visit records are deleted after 13 months.

The news posts on this site come from our Instagram account, and the playlists come from Spotify. Our server fetches the images and names ahead of time and shows them from virtuoso.fm, so Instagram and Spotify don't see your visit and no Instagram or Spotify player, script or cookie loads on this site.

When you click through to Instagram or Spotify, you're on their site, and their own privacy policies apply.

The site runs on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel briefly keeps technical request logs to run and protect the service, under its own privacy policy.

Nobody, apart from the services that run the site for us (Vercel for hosting and Supabase for storing the visit counts). We don't sell or rent any information.

This site isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect anything from them.

Because we don’t keep anything that identifies you, there’s usually nothing to look up or delete. If you have a question or a request, send us a DM on Instagram at @virtuoso.fm.

If what we collect changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
